As a result of the political contradictions of the moment, the problem with
demographics has come to a highlight; and according to it, there is a great
disproportion between the index of black population and their incarceration.
Not only this disproportion is true, but it is also natural, because it
reflects that same disproportion in resources and poverty; contributing to the
strengthening of prejudices already rooted in social behavior, unfavourable to
the black race.
Crime rates are naturally higher in the poorest classes of any social
structure; because by possessing fewer resources, and even the education needed
to obtain them, they are more about criminal act. This in turn is due to the
deep dependence on any social structure, to the economic relations in which it
is organized; which not only makes this determination about social behavior,
but also hinders or favors this necessary development.
However, it is a mistake to believe that this determination can be changed purely
with political actions; because that only affects the structure externally and
not internally, they are necessarily superficial. It is not only that economic
relations determine society, but even these determinations are cultural; so any
redetermination from politics will be superficial, and ends up being exhausted;
and they can even be reversed in this exhaustion, thus causing a contrary
effect, with the stagnation of that structure.
For that reason, any change in such determinations must come from the very
interior of that structure; which is also how it happens traditionally, with
timeframes of one or even two generations to consolidate developments. Trying
to speed up these natural deadlines usually results in the destabilization of the
structure; introducing a series of traumas, which the structure will have to
absorb according to its own margin of assimilation; but which in any case will
not change the determination of its political relations, given economically only as a sign of effective power.
This is not understandable for political tendencies of liberal and/or
left-wing nature, based on modern humanism; which emerged as a tradition at the
height of modern positive rationalism, disbelieves those extra positive
determinations of reality. The result of these pressures is however
paradoxical, resulting in a contraction of the development of the social
structure; leading to feudal authoritarianism, as we could see from the very
beginning, with the revolutionary regime of terror in France.
This is precisely because in those cases, the structure does not respond to
its economic determinations, but to ones from politics; given in medieval
antiquity by stately authority, and in the contemporaneity by the political parties
as a political administrator, through ideology. In fact, it is the same process
in which even capitalism declines, from industrial—and individualistic— to
corporate; resulting in a contraction of
the structure in question, by its subjection to authority, which always looks
after its own interests even if it says to do so for those of the structure, in
its corporateness.
Even the appeal to the concept of justice for these redeterminations is spurious
because it is just an abstract concept; it only legitimizes acts, but fails to
determine them, because it does not resonate with particular interests, such as
the economy. Even in the case of racism instituted in modern cultures, the
problem remains cultural and is only redetermined from the culture itself; to
the extent that with particular economic development, the various levels
continue the spiral of general development of culture.
